António Augusto da Motta Moniz

He died on May 6, 1973, at the Clínica do Bom Jesus in Ponta Delgada, at the age of 66, Antonio Augusto da Motta Moniz, married to Maria da Conceição Ponte Motta Moniz.

He was a Natural of the Ribeira Seca of Ribeira Grande, enjoying a general consideration in his respective council, having served as Deputy Mayor of Ribeira Grande, from November 1958 to November of the following year, at which time he was appointed President of that council. which he played until March 1969, with the greatest apprehension and willingness to serve his land. In recognition of his work the Chamber gave its name to one of the arteries of that city. He was a member of the management of Caixa Económica da Ribeira Grande for some years. As a former sportsman, he has always devoted his enthusiasm to the sports movement of his county.

His funeral was held for the Ribeira Seca Cemetery after a body mass in the chapel of the Bom Jesus Clinic.
